VTech’s 700 Series Premium Silicon Diffusion Pump Fluids serve as drop-in-replacements for Dow Corning DC 702-704-705 diffusion pump fluids. The two fluids are miscible with each other with equal performance. See comparison table at right.
Each grade is capable of achieving different levels of vacuum with their own peak performances. As premium brand fluids, they offer longer service life resulting in fewer oil changes, faster pumping and minimal back-streaming. They are resistant to oxidation and are thermally stable.
VTech-702 is a general purpose diffusion vacuum pump fluid capable of producing vacuum in the range 10-5 to 10-7 torr. MSDS
VTech-704 is capable of attaining vacuum in the 10-6 to 10-8 torr range without the use of a cold trap and 10-10 to 10-11 torr with trap. The VTech 704 is a rugged fluid that withstands exposure to air at operating temperatures and recovers quickly. MSDS
VTech-705 is a single component diffusion pump fluid for ultra-high vacuum in the range of 10-9 to 10-10 torr (untrapped) and 10-11 (trapped) with minimal back-streaming. MSDS
